According to the Royal Horticultural Society, three million people took up gardening during Covid. Locally, the Lambeth Horticultural Society has been promoting gardening and growing to local people for more than 50 years.

Local Black led and owned organisation, 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning has opened a new adult learning centre in Herne Hill to support Lambeth residents. The new centre offers exhibition space, galleries, archives, and creative workspaces along with opportunities for learning new skills and finding employment.
A new mobile optimised form to be launched at the end of March 2022, will allow residents to report 50 different types of highway issues online, including potholes, signs and uneven road and pavement surfaces.
