There's a great summer programme of summer activities at the South London Botanical Institute; all tickets: £5 per child with one carer. Classes are available for various age groups.

Lambeth Council's Citizens Assembly on the Climate Crisis concluded on 3 July. Assembly members developed and voted upon 13 recommendations for Lambeth's residents, organisations, businesses and the Council to tackle the climate crisis fairly, effectively and quickly.

People living in south east London and beyond are being invited to a special COVID-19 mass vaccination event at The Kia Oval, the home of Surrey County Cricket Club, this Saturday 17 July 2021. From 8am to 8pm the Pfizer vaccine will be on offer at the stadium for everyone aged 18 and over. Second doses will also be available to anyone who had their first jab at least eight weeks ago - i.e., before 23 May 2021.

The success of the England team in reaching the final of the Euro 2020 football championships is bringing a much needed boost to most people’s morale. Also, for local businesses and especially pubs, the competition, and England’s games in particular, have brought a much needed increase in trade after a slow start following reopening after the last lockdown.
