For the first time this winter, the temperature in the capital is below freezing and the Mayor of London has today (29 November 2023) activated the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol, opening emergency accommodation across London. This will give those who need it somewhere safe and warm to stay.

Lambeth Council's Planners have rejected plans for a proposed Aldi supermarket at the site adjacent to and south of 107 Knight's Hill, SE27.
Lambeth Council’s Urban Forest Strategy is to be launched on 25 November. The strategy lays out the Council’s plans to increase the canopy cover of the borough by planting over 5000 trees in the next three years, as well as maintaining the existing tree stock.
