The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) project at West Norwood Cemetery seeks to conserve the Cemetery’s magnificent landscape and built structures, as well as offer new experiences and facilities to increase community use. London's Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) is expanding from Monday 29 August 2023 - from the area within the North and South Circular Roads to the whole London Borough area (with a few minor exemptions).
Pop up school uniform shops are opening across the borough to support families during the cost of living crisis and to help them cut down on environmental waste. The shops offer families free items including clothing, stationary and other items needed for school. Families can also bring items they no longer need, which can be swapped for items they do need. The shops are open on specific days until 1 September 2023.
NHS South East London has advised that Hospital Consultants are striking from Thursday 24 – Friday 25 August 2023. This means that our hospitals will be under a lot of pressure again.
